The Next to the Last Week of School

This has been one of those uneventful type weeks where you think back on it and it seems like nothing at all has happened. Hehehe. Over the weekend Rusty met with some guys about getting a new band going. Well, not really a new one, but more like continuing one that was started a couple of years ago that kinda got put on the backburner with everyone doing other musical projects. Sunday he went to help Keith move everything out of the shop that he’s closing, and I just took the day to CHILL and hang around the house. I went to visit with Mom for Mother’s Day, and called Johnnie on the phone. Rusty called his stepmother. Rusty and the kids bought me an outfit for Mother’s Day, and took me to eat at the breakfast bar at Isle of Capri Sunday morning. Once again we did not get the spreading of the ashes done still. It was really a nice kind of uneventful weekend. Tyler went to church Sunday with his friend, and later in the week we signed him up to go on the youth trip to Panama City this summer.
Monday night was a baseball game for Tanner, and they won! Woohoo! First game they really and truly won! He was very happy!
I finished up the last of my extremely stressful events on Tuesday, performing the Kindergarten Musical Program - 3 times. Twice that morning, and once that night at the PTO meeting. Also Tuesday night, we tried to fix a stopped up sink and ended up with a mess on our hands hehehe. We used the same stuff that we used to unstop the washing machine drain pipe. It worked wonderfully on that drain pipe. But our bathroom sink was not so easy. We poured the stuff in, let it sit, still was stopped up. We sat around trying to decide what we’d try next, and in the meantime the stuff got REALLY stinky. So Rusty had to undo all the piping from the sink and dig into the wall pipe to clear the drain out. It was pretty gross, with the smell of the chemicals on top of it too. Anyway, the sink finally got unstopped. Dale stopped by for a visit the same night.
On Wednesday I made myself a checklist of everything I have to do before the last day of school, and went straight to work on getting them done! There are now 4 more official days of school, plus one work day with no kids.
Thursday I took Tyler to the doctor to ease my mind about him. He’s had some yellowish color to his eyes, and some weakness and headaches, among other things. The doctor agreed that his eyes were yellowish and she did some blood test stuff. Testing for liver function and various hepatitis's. The doctor called this afternoon and said the hepatitis tests were all negative but that she is not going to rule it out just yet. Said his liver enzymes were fine which is good. But that he does indeed have an elevated bilirubin level which is causing the jaundice. She said it could just be from having a particular stomach virus weeks ago - there are certain ones that do this. We have to go back in a week for another test to see if the levels are going down, or hopefully not up. Anyway, didn't do much to ease my mind - I'm still worried. Thursday evening I stayed up half the night helping (or MAKING) Tyler study for his science semester exam. Let's all cross our fingers that he passes science!
We are totally looking forward to summer trips, especially me. We’re going to visit Dad and Johnnie Memorial Day weekend. Then we’re going to stay at the Isle of Capri a couple of days for our anniversary. Then in late June we’re going to the lakehouse, if I can wait til the end of June. I’m so used to going to the lake asap.
Today is a TGIF kinda Friday, and we're trying to decide right now what we want to cook on the grill this weekend. And once again, it's grass mowing time. And no rain to use for an excuse.
It's been such an uneventful week that I didn't even take any photos this week. Shame on me! Hopefully we'll have many photos next week, of all of us celebrating joyfully that school is out.
