* Earlier, as I was laughing hysterically (and in great shock) at Tyler tasting a bite of dog food because he heard dog food has no taste (incidentally, he agreed that it does not have any taste), I remembered back to Pat always eating unusual stuff. When he and mom first got married we'd see him eat what WE considered to be yucky stuff, but was probably just normal stuff that kids don't like. But I made the statement once that Pat would eat ANYTHING. Sitting on the bar in front of us all was a bowl of milk that someone had just finished eating cereal in. And I had just opened a can of tuna and had not drained it yet. I said, "I bet I know something you WON'T eat....." and I drained the oil from the tuna can into the bowl of milk. Without missing a beat, he turned the bowl up to his lips and drank it all straight down and never flinched. I thought I would fall out in shock. hahaha!
* I don't know why, or even remember the circumstances when I had this memory. But I remembered my dad teaching me to ride a bike. Perhaps I was learning something new and subconsciously that memory came up?
* I remembered the 2 most disappointing moments in my life where I wanted to audition for something really bad and chickened out. Once in high school, auditioning for the school musical. I was far too shy and I chickened out and worked on the set and played in the pit band instead. Then in college, my first year, I was next in line to audition for jazz band and I chickened out. (I tried out the next year and made it.) Never forgave myself for either of those. I guess it came to mind because we've begun talking about musical auditions this week.
* Tanner's blankie. Because last night, he went to the hall closet to grab a blanket (even though most of them are already out and tossed around the house). The blanket pile had made it down to the bottom few, and there was his blankie. He came in here and said "I sure have missed this thing...." lol. Pictures below.....
