I really don't have anything much to report. I pretty much do the same thing everyday and night. Rehearse the musical. Whether at school, or in my head. I come home to sleep and sometimes eat. A couple of times a week I get to watch a B movie horror flick with the family on the Chiller Channel. I live for those moments. As of today, we have exactly 7 days left until choir contest (for which we are NOT ready) and 14 days left til the first matinee performance of Seussical (for which we are even LESS ready). I'm holding on for March 8, when it's ALL over with. I'm not DREADING it or anything. I'm excited about it. However, having the whole thing over with and getting my LIFE back, with it all having been a big success, is something I do look forward to.
We had to take choir pictures for the yearbook. I told them for TWO WEEKS to bring their dresses, tuxes, etc in and keep them in my office so we'd all have them for picture day. I told them daily. Lots of kids brought them in. Other kids SAW them bring them in. Yet still, on picture day, I had at least 3 kids say.......pictures? what pictures? I didn't know we had to bring our stuff and take pictures???? So anyway. I had Mike come in and take the pictures so we'd have some really nice ones and maybe I could have them printed out and put on our wall as well. And he really did do a terrific job. With what he had to work with lol. I don't think any two people in the show choir looked alike. Several of them forgot their stuff and we had to piece together odds and ends from the office, put boy shirts on a couple of girls, etc. The women's choir had theirs but they refused to take off their clothes underneath the dress so you can see one girl's jeans sticking out. There are also several girls wearing tennis shoes with their dresses lol. Couple of boys wearing bright white tennis shoes with their tuxes. But we got the pictures done. And Mike did a great job, as you can see below.
